How to throw a football party
Celebrate Euro 2016
Euro 2016 starts today (Friday 10th June) and this year, the country is full of expectation as to how our nation will fare. With our first fame against Russia set to take place on Saturday what better way to support our team than with a Football Party! Obviously we’ve got the food covered, but here are some of our other top tips to make sure your party goes without a hitch 😉
1. Guests
Think about your guest list carefully, the drama should always be on the pitch! There’s is nothing worse than “that” friend getting a little bit carried away. Get your closest mates round that you know will get along together and you can have a good time with.
canopy2. Weather
Plan for the weather, if you are thinking of having your soiree outside, there is one thing you can almost guarantee it is a surprise from the Great British weather, don’t get caught out! Create your own simple canopy in your team’s colours. Or include all the competing teams colours. It’s simple, easy, practical and looks great!
3. Drinks
Let’s face it, as a nation we’re not shy of a few pints. The Telegraph have written a great article here with all the best beers from around Europe available in the UK to sample as perfect accompaniments to watching the matches

4. Food
Our area of expertise! Party, Summer, Football, it just all shouts barbecue to me. Maybe that’s just me, but if you feel the same way you can’t beat our Barbecue Packs which are all here
With delicious burgers, juicy sausages and yummy kebabs as one option perfect for the barbecue, if the weather is not on your side, or the TV cable won’t stretch to outdoors. Why not impress your mates with your own Man VS Steak challenge? Our monster T-Bones and Pan Handles are back in stock and are the perfect opportunity to see if you can conquer one!
Or maybe you are more of a Pie and a Pint kind of person, choose from our range of bakery goods here
5. Face Paint
It’s not often we get the chance to indulge in such silliness, but this is the perfect excuse! The St George’s flag is pretty easy to do so think yourself lucky and a set is only £1.49 from Amazon

6. National Anthem
There’s nothing worse than mumbling along to the national anthem pretending you know the words. You really should, support your team, support the nation, be patriotic and proud! Plus it’ll stand you in good stead for the Olympics later this year and with the Queens 90th Birthday celebrations and street parties expected across the UK you’ll look like a pro when you show off your new skills

7. Decorations
Follow up the theme with some cool decorations to set the theme. Get the St George’s Flag out, wear your England shirt with pride, and top it all off with a fetching hat! Commit and get in the spirit, then whatever the score you’ll still have a great time!
