I love this time of year, the leaves on the trees just starting to fall in every colour you can imagine, boots out, snuggly jumpers rediscovered, its ok to put the fire on and cosy down in an evening and more importantly it means good food.

It's like before any great sporting challenge or big event, there is a run up, a dress rehearsal and for me, Halloween and Bonfire Night are like my Christmas Warm Up. Any excuse to dress up and get lots of sweets, indulge in Parkin and warm winter pies then falling in love with a barbecue again at the side of bonfire, there is just nothing like it!

So, in my infinite wisdom I've encouraged the boss to put together a little Bonfire and Halloween Treat Meat Pack, mostly for my own indulgence but you are all welcome to join me!

Meet the Hazeldines Pies

Our pies are one of our proudest assets at Hazeldines, we still hand bake them every day on the premises using our own secret recipes and the freshest ingredients available

The most popular of our pies by far is the traditional British Classic Meat and Potato,

A true favourite at Hazeldines our rustic handmade pie with a classic traditional recipe loved by many.

These pies weigh an average of 285g a generous serving for one and just what you need to snuggle up with on those cooler nights.

Slow braised British beef and diced English potato wrapped in our secret recipe pastry makes for a wonderful hearty pie are available to buy here

Next on the list is our gorgeous Steak and Kidney. Another English classic, perfect comfort food and it tastes even better knowing it was handmade in store by our lovely bakery team using only the freshest ingredients.

We are proud meat eaters at Hazeldines but we understand, appreciate and respect it’s not for everyone, so for the vegetarians in the land (or those who just want a day off from meat!) you don’t have to miss out.

These are not for the faint hearted, a full 6" of pure prime pork sausage meat wrapped in our secret flaky pastry, I am well experienced in these sausage rolls, so believe me when I tell you they have to be tried to be believed!
